BPeSA Gauteng the Gauteng focused BPO & O sector association on Saturday evening the 26th September hosted it’s 13th annual Awards event recognizing excellence in the Gauteng sector.  Supported by partners such as MTN, Liberty Life and City of Tshwane, the industry association welcomed over 600 guests to the annual networking and celebratory gathering.
Keryn House - CEO, BPeSA Gauteng and Busi Mhaga – DDG: Economic and Development Planning, Gauteng Provincial Government (GPG) officially welcomed guests and both spoke to the recent growth and development within the sector.  The DDG reinforced GGP’s commitment to BPeSA Gauteng and the sector and spoke to how BPO was seen as a key role player in combating unemployment both within Gauteng and South Africa.
MC – Krijay Govender opened the awards section and the celebrations started.

The first award was officially handed over by Keryn House – The CEO Award.  This award recognizes, a BPeSA Gauteng member, who has been actively involved on one of the six BPeSA Gauteng Executive Portfolios in 2008.2009 and who has gone over and above the call of duty to positively promote Gauteng to BPO investors.
The candidates were - Cassim Nakkooda – City of Joburg, Colin Douglas – Bradford McCormack, Feko Makara – Dimension Data Merchants and Fran Swart – Quest Flexible Staffing and the winner of the CEO Award 2009 – Colin Douglas, Bradford McCormak.
Krijay again recounted the process around entering the official African Stars Awards and took a moment to recognize and thank the Judges for all their hard work and effort to-date.  She also recognized the auditing team from Deloitte.   She advised each and every finalist at the event that by making it through to finals in the Gauteng region was in itself an achievement as being the largest region in the country, there is a bigger pool of competition.

-Take the Grayston Ave offramp and go towards Sandton.
-Stay on Grayston ave and after 9 traffic lights, the road makes a T junction with Sandton Drive. 
-Turn right into Sandton Drive.
-After one traffic light you'll get to the junction with William Nicol. Turn left on the slipway.
-Keep going towards the Hyde Park Corner shopping centre.

Coming from Sandton on William Nicol Dr towards Hyde Park Corner shopping centre:
-Turn right into 2nd Ave CRAIGHALL. 
Alternatively, coming from Hyde Park Corner shopping centre on William Nicol Dr towards Sandton:
-Turn left into 2nd Ave CRAIGHALL.
-At the T-junction, turn left into Waterfall Ave.
-After only 10m, turn right into Talbragar Ave.
-After 500m, turn left into Argyle Ave.
-Cross Douglas Ave and turn left into Alexandra Ave.
-The Spa is at 30 Alexadra Ave immediately to your right.
